Peer Review Process

At InfoTech Spectrum: Iraqi Journal of Data Science (IJDS), we uphold the highest standards of scholarly publishing through a rigorous and transparent peer-review process. We aim to ensure the quality, integrity, and validity of the research published in the journal.

  • Initial Evaluation:

Upon submission, each manuscript undergoes an initial evaluation by the editorial team to ensure adherence to the journal's scope, formatting guidelines, and ethical standards.

  • Peer Review Assignment:

Manuscripts passing the initial evaluation are assigned to expert reviewers with relevant expertise in the field. Reviewers are selected based on their knowledge and experience to provide constructive feedback.

  • Anonymous Review:

IJDS follows a double-blind peer-review process, where the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential. This ensures unbiased and impartial evaluations.

  • Evaluation Criteria:

Reviewers assess the manuscript based on originality, significance, methodology, results, and overall contribution to the field. Constructive feedback is provided to authors to enhance the clarity and quality of their work.

  • Reviewer Recommendations:

Reviewers make recommendations on the acceptance, revision, or rejection of the manuscript. Authors are given the opportunity to address reviewer comments and revise their work accordingly.

  • Editorial Decision:

The editorial team, considering reviewer recommendations and authors' revisions, makes the final decision on the acceptance or rejection of the manuscript. The decision is communicated to the authors along with reviewer comments.

  • Revision and Resubmission:

If revisions are requested, authors are encouraged to address the comments and provide a detailed response in their revised manuscript. The revised version undergoes further review before a final decision is made.

  • Timely Process:

IJDS is committed to maintaining a timely peer-review process. Authors can track the status of their submissions through the online submission system, and regular updates will be provided.

  • Reviewer Recognition:

IJDS acknowledges and appreciates the invaluable contribution of reviewers to the scholarly peer-review process. Reviewers play a crucial role in maintaining the journal's high standards. We believe that a robust peer-review process is fundamental to scholarly communication and contributes to the advancement of knowledge.
